Lloyd Don Bailey, 78, of Commerce, Texas passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.  Don was born on January 14, 1939 in Dallas, Texas, the only child of Lloyd Hershel Bailey and Velma Corine Thomas Bailey. 

Don attended Pleasant Grove High School in Dallas before entering the United States Navy.  While serving in the Navy, he earned an Associates Degree.  Don married Lynda Arleene Gaither on October 14, 1967 in San Diego, California.  He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.  They were the joy of his life.  He also enjoyed horse racing.  It was a particular challenge to figure out the odds and which horse was going to win the next big race!

Don is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Lynda; his children Casandra Jaykus, Donnell Rogers, Daniel Nall, Dennis “Scotty” Bailey and wife, Aida, Lloyd Bailey, Jr. and Chasity Bailey; grandchildren, Melanie Fitch, Sean Jaykus and wife, Ashley, Dennis Bailey, II and wife, Erica, Derric Bailey, Cubby Trejo and husband, David, Makinsy Bailey and Dakota Sky Bailey and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Velma Bailey and grandson, Aaron Jaykus.
