Richard James of Dallas, TX passed away on 6/11/2017 after a brief illness. 

Rick was born in Dallas, Texas on June 22, 1953 to Doris Hudson and John James.  He was raised in East Dallas and graduated from Bryan Adams High School.   After a tour in the US Army, Rick returned home where he received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.  He worked as a Facilities Coordinator and Buyer for Unitrin Insurance Company.

He was preceded in death by his father John and brother-in-law James Tipping.    Rick is survived by his wife Melissa, mother Doris, brother Kyle, sister Rebecca, sister-in-law Devonna, nieces Samantha and Jennifer, nephews Jesse and Frank and great-nieces Cecelia and Tabathia. 

Rick was a lover of music, a rabid baseball fan (as well as most sports) and the best Daddy a mouse could ever have.

A service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 12411 Templeton Trail, Farmers Branch, TX.
