Carla Jean Seward

Carla Jean Seward, a resident of Greenville TX, formerly of Houston TX, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at home in Greenville at the age of 58.

She was born on November  18, 1959, the daughter of Carl and Norma Jean Johnston.  Carla grew up in Galena Park, Texas. She graduated from Galena Park High School in 1978.  She married Larry Seward in Houston, Texas on February 12, 1999.  She and Larry were members of Family Fellowship Church in Greenville.  Carla enjoyed many different activities during her spare time.  She enjoyed crafts and gardening.  She especially enjoyed traveling.  She and Larry had been on several cruises together.  They were planning to hook up the RV and see the country upon sale of their home. 

Carla will be sadly missed by her husband, Larry Seward; children, Amanda Jennings and Mark “Bucky” Jennings and his wife, Evelyn; Brooklyn Seward, stepmother, Peggy Johnston; grandmother, Kathleen Petty; grandchildren, Camron Britton, Camille Britton and Joanna Jennings; brother, Scott Johnston and sister, Kim Johnston along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Johnston and her mother, Norma Denison.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 3507 FM 499 Greenville, Texas, 75401, with Reverend Marvin Denison officiating.
