Clyde Simmons

Clyde Walter Simmons, 62, of Campbell, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 8, 2018.  He was born on August 7, 1955 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Richard Clinton Simmons, Sr. and Zora Ward Simmons.  The family received friends at a visitation that took place on Thursday, May 10 at Commerce Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held today, Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00 am at Commerce Funeral Home in Commerce, Texas with Pastor Danny Gandy officiating.  Interment will follow at Hart Cemetery in Cash, Texas.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Karlyn; his stepson, Cody Duke; his mother, Zora Ward Simmons; his children, Chris Lindley, Sandra Simmons, David Simmons, Lucky Simmons, Erin Day, Nick Simmons and Amanda Simmons; his sisters, Linda Brandon and Laura Barnett; his brothers, James W. Simmons, Thomas Ray Simmons, Richard Clinton Simmons, Jr.  and Clifton Douglas Simmons, as well as many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Clinton Simmons, Sr.

Clyde was a member of the First Baptist Church in Campbell, Texas.

Services for Mr. Simmons are entrusted to Commerce Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
