Horace Brocton Norris, 92, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 surrounded by his family.  He was born on November 14, 1925, in Pecan Gap, Texas, the son of Charles Benjamin Norris and Nancy Roxie Bartlett Norris. 

After graduating from high school, Horace entered the United States Army.  He faithfully served during World War II for a little over a year, upon which time he was honorably discharged after being wounded.  He was also a Mason for 54 years, achieving the status of Master Mason.

Horace enjoyed various activities during his leisure time.  He enjoyed gardening, as well as playing domino and cards.  He truly enjoyed family gatherings, when everyone came together to enjoy each other’s company. 

Horace is survived by his daughter, Shirley Lobb; son, Jimmy Lynn Norris; grandson, David Bone and his wife, Tish; great grandchildren, Derek Bone and Brittany Bone; great-great grandchildren Alexis Bone, Aubrey Bone and Dyxee Bone and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mozelle Norris and his parents, Charles and Nancy Norris.
