Malachi Alexander Wisdom

Malachi Alexander Wisdom, 21, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018.  He was born on March 3, 1997, the son on Abednego Alexander Wisdom and Heather Silburn Hancock.  Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Commerce.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Reverend Mark Garrett officiating.  Interment will be at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.

Malachi grew up in Commerce, graduating from Commerce High School in 2015.  He had many varied interests that he pursued with the same energy he gave to all he did.  He enjoyed camping and hiking through the woods.  He was an avid skateboarder and loved the thrill of Parkour, which is a sport that involves negotiating obstacles by running, jumping and climbing.  Malachi was a strong advocate for the underdog, always watching out for other students that were being bullied.  After high school, he excelled in construction, working with his step-father on many jobs.  He was especially adept at tile work. 

Malachi is survived by his girlfriend, whom he adored, Haili Michell; his mother, Heather Price; his step-father, Michael Thomas; his father, Ben Wisdom; sisters, Kaylee Jones, Patience Wisdom, Autumn Lambert and Felicity Spruce; his brother, Dallas Williams; grandparents, Barry and Clara Diane Fulfer, Johnny and Lisa Jones and Janet Perry; aunt Yvonne Gossett, uncle Timothy Gossett; cousins Alexandria Wilson, Jessica Crouch, Devon Ulm and Jacob Wisdom.
