Melissa James

Melissa Marie Wooldridge James passed away on March 2, 2019.  Melissa was born September 26, 1973 to James Thompson (Tom) Wooldridge and Judy Ann Heath Wooldridge of Farmers Branch, Texas.  She graduated from W.T. White High School in 1991.  She then attended Texas A&M where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Distribution in 1995 and became a proud Aggie.

She worked in Houston for a short time before returning to Dallas. Her work career gravitated to Customer Service because she enjoyed helping others.  On July 10, 2004 she married the love of her life Richard (Rick) James.  They were married for 13 years until his death in June 2017.  Two things that people would say about Melissa are that she was smart and was always helping others. 

Melissa was preceded in death by her husband Rick, mother Judy, Aunt Wanda, Uncle Ted, Uncle Gary and cousins William and Blair.   She is survived by her father and step-mother Tom and Jan Wooldridge, Aunt Jeanie, Uncle Ray, Aunt Billie & Uncle Dean, mother-in-law Doris, sister-in-law Rebecca, brother & sister-in-law Kyle and Devonna, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephew.

A service celebrating Melissa's life will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 12411 Templeton Trail, Farmers Branch, TX 75234.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
