Robert Kaus Obituary

Robert Allen Kaus, 62, was born on July 7, 1956 in Sugar Creek, MO. After a six year battle with kidney and liver failure, he passed away on August 28, 2018 at his home in Terrell, TX.

Bobby, or Bob, as his family called him, was given up as a small child, along with his brother, and became a charge of the Catholic Charities. He and his brother, William “Butch”,  were adopted together. His brother helped him survive as a child and he loved him dearly all his life. He attended high school in Golden Plains, KS. After school, the two of them moved to Dallas, where he met his wife Martha.

Allen, as his friends call him, started his own security company. He operated A-K Security from 1982 until 2016, when he retired. During that time, Allen and Martha also purchased a daycare, Noah’s Ark Learning Center, in 1988 and operated it until 2012.

He lived on a farm in Terrell for the last 24 years, but he loved to travel. Whether in his RV or just a road trip, he loved going anywhere. He has been a member of the Lone Star Corvette Club since 1999 and drag raced until 2015. He continued to travel until the end, only it was in a truck with a lift.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Martha Sharp Kaus; two daughters, Kelly Kaus and Kristi Kaus; granddaughter, Paige Shyenne Beheler, brother William Wayne “Butch” Kaus & wife Dorothy; sister Brenda Feaster; adopted sisters, Jodie Sigler & husband Bill, and Kimberly Kaus; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was a good man, he was loved by many, and we will miss him dearly!!
