Tony Don Burnett, Sr.

Tony Don Burnett Sr., 56, of Commerce, Texas, passed away after battling illness on October 4, 2019.  Tony was born on April 15, 1963 in Commerce, Texas to Ollie Mae Highfield and Dirl Burnett.  He was the middle of five children and attended grade school and high school in Commerce.

Tony loved fishing and spending time outdoors with his family.  He also enjoyed movies and was an avid Christian music enthusiast.  He was known for his love of God, ability to make everyone laugh, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Tony is survived by his son, Tony Don Burnett, Jr., daughter, Melanee Nixon and husband, Jon; sister, Laurie Shaw; brother, Clifford Fivecoat; grandchildren, Lillian Nixon, Katelyn Nixon and Keiri Burnett; nieces, Andrea Norris and Whitney Shaw and nephew Addison Ratliff.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Mae Highfield and Dirl Burnett; brother, Darrell Burnett and sister, Kristie Burnett.
