Carol Ann Peek

Carol Ann Peek, a resident of Commerce, Texas for over 40 years, passed away peacefully at Briarcliff Nursing and Rehab in Greenville on September 21, 2025. Carol was born on April 17, 1938, in Sikeston, Missouri, the daughter of Carl McFerron and Velda Hamby.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.

Carol graduated from Sikeston High School in Sikeston, Missouri with the class of 1956. In 1983, she met and married William (Bill) Peek in Commerce, Texas.

Carol’s working career was spent in the insurance and accounting industry. In her spare time, she enjoyed selling Avon (she kept more than she sold!), collecting teddy bears, playing bridge in her bridge club, and dabbling in calligraphy.

Those preceding Carol in death are her husband, Bill, and both parents.

Left to cherish Carol’s memories are her sons, Steve Nelson, David Nelson, stepson, Bill Peek and wife, Kristy; step-daughter, Debbie Roppolo and husband, Patrick; and grandchildren, Alex Nelson, Amanda Nelson, Jonathon Roppolo, Daniel Roppolo, Kayelyn Roppolo, and Trace Peek.

Honorary pallbearers are Trace Peek, Bill Peek, Patrick Roppolo, and Daniel Roppolo.
