Catherine Lynn Dye

Catherine Lynn Dye, of Commerce, Texas, passed away on June 13, 2026 at Hunt Regional Medical Center. She was 68 years old.

 Cathy was born in Ft. Worth, Texas to parents Murlon Dye and Mary Carolyn Dye. She graduated from Commerce High School and pursued undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology. She was a credentialed Licensed Professional Counselor and used her counseling gift to help many people throughout her career, particularly during the pandemic. Cathy had many artistic abilities and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was also a gifted baker and made beautiful cakes and cookies for family events, as well as for others in her community. 

Cathy is survived by her mother, Mary Carolyn Dye and sisters Sharon Duncan and her husband Mike, Amy Suhumskie and her husband Ron and niece Hannah Duncan.

 She is preceded in death by her father, Murlon Dye.
