Christy Lynn Betts

Christy Lynn Betts, 53, of Commerce, Texas, passed away on March 14, 2026.  A visitation will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from noon to 1:00 pm AT Commerce Funeral Home.  A memorial service will immediately follow beginning at 1:00 P.M.

Christy was born on January 1, 1973, to Danny Smith and Linda Pemberton. She lived a life marked by kindness, vibrance, and thoughtfulness, with a heart full of love for her family, especially her children. Christy had a warm and welcoming spirit that drew people in and made everyone feel at home.

She worked as a chef, a career that reflected her true passion for cooking. Outside of work, Christy loved to dance, bowl, and spend time in the kitchen creating meals for those she loved. She was a true social butterfly who brought energy, laughter, and light wherever she went.

Christy is survived by Linda Savage; her children, Dakota and Ashley Baugus of Moscow, Idaho, Colton Jackson of Denton, Texas, and Tuff Jackson of Pottsboro, Texas; and her two grandchildren, Cooper and Cara Baugus.

She is preceded in death by her father, and her brother, James Lett.

Christy’s kindness and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at Commerce Funeral Home on April 11th at 1:00 p.m.
