Campbell

Clark Gordon Gregory, age 66, of Campbell, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in Greenville, Texas. He was born on August 1, 1958, in Chowchilla, California, to Gordon Trumbull Gregory and Jacqulynne Ellege Gregory. Clark was the youngest of four children.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Clark’s life on Saturday, July 19th at 10 am at Lakeshore Baptist Church, 200 S. Lakeshore Drive, Hudson Oaks, TX 76087. Light refreshments will be available in the fellowship hall following the service for those who wish to gather and share memories.

Clark is survived by his children: Benjamin Gregory of San Antonio, TX; Chelsea Hord and her husband William Carter Hord of Weatherford, TX; and his long-term partner, Cheryl Simoneau of Campbell, TX. Clark also leaves behind his sister Kathleen Wilson and her husband Dr. Joseph Wilson; brother Scott Gregory; sister Sallie Marion and her husband Roy Marion; four grandchildren: Campbell, Chandler, Crosby, and William Calvary Hord; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Jacob Waddelow.

A 1976 graduate of Chowchilla High School, Clark was active in the FFA and proudly showed Black Angus cattle. One of his fondest memories was attending the 1975 National FFA Convention, where he heard Jimmy Carter speak before his presidency.

Clark served as Past Master of the Phoenix Masonic Lodge (Chowchilla Lodge No. 485) in 1980.

For many years, Clark co-owned Gregory Farms in Chowchilla with his father. Together, they raised cotton, almonds, alfalfa hay, Black Angus cattle, and various row crops, building a legacy of hard work and stewardship that spanned generations.

In 2000, after selling the family farm, Clark moved to Texas with his family and pursued new ventures in real estate, tanning salon franchises, landscaping, and laser engraving.

Clark will be remembered for his deep love of God, his country, his family and friends, and the community around him. Known for his infectious laugh, generous spirit, and heartfelt hugs, he never hesitated to help anyone in need.

A favorite verse of Clark’s was Psalms 51:10-13.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence;and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy freespirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.”
