Connie Lee McKinney, of Commerce, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Medical City Dallas. Connie was born on April 5, 1949, in Woodward, Oklahoma.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Commerce Funeral Home. Connie’s funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Cuthand Cemetery in Red River County, Texas.

Connie attended Tascosa High School in Amarillo, Texas, graduating with the class of 1968. After graduating high school, she met the love of her life, Roger McKinney, and went on to attend Midwestern for a time. She and Roger married on June 27, 1970.

Connie was a devoted wife and homemaker for 50 years. When Connie worked outside the home, she worked as a nurse’s aide. Connie loved to travel and enjoyed family getting together at various family events.

Left to cherish Connie’s memories are her husband, Roger; son, Ryan and wife Delia and son, Brent; grandchildren, Micah McKinney and Cas McKinney; brother, Harold McDaniel and wife Pat; sister, Janice Black; sister-in-law, Polly Luke; brother-in-law Edd McKinney and wife Barbara; nephews, Casey McDaniel and James Black; and nieces, Jessica Pershall and Jenna Black.

Connie is preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth McDaniel and father, Delbert McDaniel.

Serving as Pallbearers are: Kerry Crews, Steve Harrison, Allen Elmore, Johnny Painter, Micah McKinney, and Ryan McKinney. Paula Alvarez will be an Honorary Pallbearer.
