It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cora Marie Thrasher Lambert, of Wolfe City, TX. Cora passed away in Commerce, TX on July 15, 2026, at the age of 89.
She was born on December 26, 1936, to Noah Lee Thrasher and Mamie Scoggins Thrasher in Reinhardt, TX.
Cora graduated from Wylie High School in 1955. She was employed as a Logistics Engineer at Rockwell International in Richardson, TX. That career allowed her to travel to many places, including living in Tiawan. She was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church in Wolfe City.
Throughout her life, she was known for her kindness, strength, generosity, and love for family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, reading, watching British comedies, and especially loved watching the Dallas Cowboys.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose Marie Lambert of Wolfe City; son, James Lambert and his wife, Ann, of Commerce; grandchildren, Jarrod Lambert and wife Megan of Barnesville, GA and Jimmy, Adelynn, Delilah, and Daisy Lambert of Commerce; great grandchildren, Carter and Silas Lambert of Barnesville, GA; cousins, James Bailey and Joann Bailey, both of Dickenson, TX; and nephews, Randy Southern and Danny Southern of Tulsa, OK.
Preceding Cora in death are her parents, Noah and Mamie Thrasher; siblings, Noah Lee Thrasher, Jr., Thelma Thrasher Southern, Larry Thrasher, and Carolyn Thrasher Brimmingham.
Cora Marie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all those whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
