Greenville

Damion Tyler Bolin, age 34, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Greenville, Texas on July 16, 2026. He was born on October 28, 1991 in Greenville.

A visitation/viewing will take place on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bull Creek Cowboy Church in Lone Oak, the church that Tyler was baptized in. The funeral service is Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Donelton Cemetery in Lone Oak.

Born with an infectious smile and an endless curiosity for life, Tyler lived every day to its absolute fullest. He never met a stranger and was always the life of the party. He was the kind of person who could walk into a room full of strangers and leave with a half-dozen new friends. He played hard and loved BIG.

Tyler attended school in Commerce ISD from 1995 to 2010, then went on to serve his country in the US Army. He served with honor, and displayed remarkable grit, discipline, and loyalty to his fellow soldiers. Tyler received numerous military awards, including the National Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, and Overseas Service Ribbon.

In his working career, Tyler found his calling in the utility sector, and was a Power Lineman/Crew Foreman for 16 years. He led his crews by example, making sure safety was paramount, and keeping the lights on through the worst of storms.

When Tyler wasn’t working, he loved hunting, fishing, and back roading. But most of all, he loved spending time with friends and family. He was a devoted, loving father to his children.

Tyler’s untimely passing has left an unimaginable void in the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered lovingly by Aidan Bolin, Aaron Bolin, Josie “Tyler” Bolin, Jacki Bolin-Branch and Sedric “Pops” Branch; and a host of siblings including Tye Anderson, LaKisha Anderson, Melissa Walker (Jeremy), Joe Bandy (Tabetha), Jordan Bolin-Branch, Trameishea Branch, and Devin Branch.

Those who preceded Tyler in death are Gene & Virginia Parish (Pa & Nana), and James Whytus, brother.

Serving as Pallbearers are Tye Anderson, Devin Branch, Drew Nelson, Colin Sell, Demitric Jennings, and Brian Ross. Honorary Bearers are R.J. Harrison, Aidan Bolin, Aaron Bolin, and Jordan Bolin-Branch.
