Judith Kidd Rudoff

April 4, 1942 — May 7, 2025

Judith “Judy” Kidd Rudoff, of Commerce, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 7th, 2025. She was born on April 4,1942, in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of Herbert Kidd and Jane Thomson Kidd.

Judy grew up in the Dallas area. Following high school, she attended Austin College, earning her BA degree. She then attended East Texas State University, where she earned her MA degree, as well as doing some post master’s work. This would be where she met her future husband, Dr. Robin M. Rudoff. She then served many years teaching in the Commerce ISD, as well as working as an adjunct professor in the History department of ETSU. During the summers, Judy enjoyed teaching swimming to children in Commerce. Upon her retirement, Judy worked in several different capacities, including working as an aide at Little Ark Daycare at FUMC, and as a receptionist at Bickham’s Florist. She also enjoyed spending time reading, especially mystery novels, swimming and walking in the neighborhood with her daughter and grandchildren.

Left to cherish Judy’s memory are her daughter, Leah Wymore and husband Gabriel. Seven grandchildren, Dalton Borders, Dylan Borders, Mikaela Basden, Zaek Basden, Deacon “Cameron” Basden, Maygan Wymore, and Maxwell Wymore. Nine great grandchildren, Brantley Borders, Elijah Borders, Asher Borders, Bryson Stofferan, and Braxton Stofferan (Dalton). Evangeline Borders, Rylan Borders, Alexzander Borders, and Ellianna Borders (Dylan). Her brother David Kidd and wife Sylvia. Judy would like to acknowledge her very special nieces Staci Rudoff-Zale and Susan Rudoff-Metz, and her “adopted” grandsons Michael Weise and Monte Basden. She also had four nieces.

Preceding Judy in death were her husband Robin, daughter Rachel, mother Jane, brother Bruce, in-laws Barbara and Sandy Rudoff, and her nephew, Steven Rudoff.
