Roger Worth Bell, 68, of Cumby, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 22, 2026. He was born on April 29, 1957, in Hobbs, New Mexico, the son of J W Bell and Marilyn Rogers Bell.

After obtaining his GED, Roger went on to attend Texas State Technical Institute, graduating in 1979 with an Associate’s degree in instrumentation technology. In 1992, he earned a BS in nursing from Baylor Nursing School. After pursuing his nursing career for several years, Roger earned his MS in nursing, with an emphasis on leadership, at Regis University. In 2017, he completed the requirements for his AGNP (Nurse Practitioner) from Maryville University. It became necessary for him to retire in 2020, due to a medical condition. In 1984, Roger married Arlieen D. Jones, in Houston, Texas. They enjoyed 42 years of marriage.

During his retirement, Roger enjoyed following and reading about politics, and nursing, and writing articles and other pieces about nursing. While attending Baylor, he wrote for Heartbeat, which is the newspaper for the Baylor Nursing School. He wrote and presented several programs for hospice caregivers, volunteers, civic organizations and families.

Roger is survived by his wife, Arlieen, and his sons, Jason Kleppner and his wife, Amanda, Joseph Bell, his wife, Kayla, and their daughter, Sierra, and Micah Bell.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J W Bell and Marilyn Bell.
