Shirley Jean White, aged 63, of Fairlie, Texas passed away on October 28, 2025 at Carrus Hospital in Sherman. She was born November 14, 1961 to Charles Francis and Samuella Reed Pickard. She attended Fannindel High School, graduating with the class of 1981.
Shirley loved her family more than anything! She loved making memories with her family whenever she could. She enjoyed the simple things in life like her Gabby Goo and finding four leaf clovers. She always made a great meal served with love, in a house adorned with her collection of crosses. And she liked to party! Bike rallies will never be the same.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Jeff White of Fairlie, TX; daughter, Miranda Pickard of Commerce, TX; son, Trent White and wife Selene; daughter, Jessica White and husband, Richard, and six beautiful grandchildren. She is also survived by son, Chris Barber of Paris, TX; daughter, Rachel Riggs and husband Steve of Niceville, FL; and daughter Katie Hulme and husband Kyle of Crestview, FL. Also surviving Shirley are her beloved siblings, Charles Pickard and wife Elise of Fate, TX and nephews Sam Pickard and Jed Pickard; Cheryl (Pickard) Singleton of Tyler, TX and nephews Nathan Singleton and Hunter Singleton, and niece Amie Singleton; Stacy (Pickard) Steward and husband Teddy of Cumby, TX and nephews Matt Steward, Zach Steward, Tanner Steward, and niece Kayla Steward.
Preceding Shirley in death are her parents, Samuella Reed and Charles Francis Pickard; and Shirley’s first husband, Richard Alvin Barber.
A luncheon is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Pecan Gap Community Center. A memorial service will take place on November 8, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Pecan Gap Baptist Church, 312 Third St., Pecan Gap, TX.
