Terry graduated from DeSoto High School and attended Tarleton University. Years later, he met his wife, Janet Lynn Hood, through mutual friends on a blind date. They have been married for 31 years, and were blessed with two children, Brianna, and Joseph.
Terry had a passion for God, his family, golf, and cooking. He was gifted with a sense of humor and quick wit which aided his success as a sales representative with OK Paper for 25 years. He was known to many as a funny, laid-back friend. Terry had a big heart and shared it with many people throughout his shortened life of 61 years.
He enjoyed being involved in church as an AWANA leader and deacon, perfecting his golf swing (he always said he was going to join the Senior PGA tour) and spending quality time with family and friends.
Terry was diagnosed with Early onset Alzheimer’s on November 7, 2020. Despite the diagnosis, it did not define Terry nor his remaining time on Earth. Through Jesus, Terry was courageous, strong, and kept his sense of humor.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44 NLT
Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. Our bodies are buried in brokenness but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.
