Wanda Sue Bomer

Wanda Bomer, 77, passed away peacefully at her home on March 13, 2026. She was born in Houston, Texas, on May 11, 1948, the daughter of Vestor Lowell Campbell and Doris Laverne Anderson Campbell.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Commerce Funeral Home. 

Wanda lived in Campbell, Texas for the last six years of her life. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She loved any activity centered around the water. She spent a great deal of time outside, much of it involving fishing. Wanda was a lover of animals. She provided a loving home for her dogs, Nikki, Scoot, and Mack, and her cat named Romeo.

Left to cherish Wanda’s memory are her son, Steven McSwain; her grandchildren, Teresa Moore, Jamie Hudson, and Joseph McSwain; great grandchildren, Joshua Hudson, Matthew Hudson, Samuel Hudson, Dylan Moore, Daniel Hudson, Jose McSwain, and Abigail Hudson.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Bomer, and son, James McSwain.
