Barbara A (Copeland) Shaw

Barbara Ann Copeland Shaw, 81, of Commerce, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness.  She was born on February 9, 1939 in Greenville, Texas, the daughter of Finis Theron Copeland and Flossie Lucille Baker Copeland.  A Celebration of Life service is planned for Friday, December 18 at 10:00 am at the Commerce Assembly of God Church.

Barbara attended Greenville High School, graduating with the class of 1957.  She moved to Commerce late in life, having lived in Commerce for the last years of her life.  She was a faithful member of the Commerce Assembly of God.  Barbara had many varied hobbies and interests.  She was very creative, working with her hands on many projects, such as all kinds of crafting, sewing and crochet.  She enjoyed watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies, as well as being a huge Rangers baseball fan! 

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kim McCarty and her husband, Tommy, her son, Shane McIntosh; grandchildren, Zeke McCarty and his wife, Mary, Ashley Rex, Jake McCarty, Chloe McIntosh, Molly McIntosh and Michael McIntosh; great grandchildren, Raeghan, Collins, Jayden, and Alex.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Finis and Flossie Copeland, a sister, Doris Tyler and a brother, John Copeland.
