Barbara Jean Logue Obituary

Jean (Ma) Logue, 77, of Cumby, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in Tyler.  She was born on February 2, 1943 in Ontario, California, the daughter of G.C. Tate and Mildred Juanita Lee Tate

Jean attended Chaffey High School.  On June 20, 1958, she married the love of her life, Leonard “Red” Logue in St. George, Utah. She and Leonard enjoyed 62 years of marriage together!  Jean was a consummate homemaker, and was the best wife, grandmother and great grandmother one could have.  She enjoyed many different activities, including horseback riding, camping, bird hunting and shopping.  She also had an affinity for hummingbirds.  But, being a grandmother, watching her kids and grandkids in their sporting events was always a favorite!  Then, as great grandkids began making their appearance, playing with them was always a favorite.  Jean “Ma” was mother and grandmother to many people!  So many rodeo buddies of Bob and Chuck were treated like children, always showing up at the house between rodeos for a good night’s sleep and to fill their bellies!  Her kids and grandkids’ friends were like her own.  Her house was always full. Nobody came to Ma’s house without eating her famous tacos!

Jean is survived by her husband, Leonard (Red); children, Bob Logue and wife, Holly, Chuck Logue and wife, Susan, Sherry Preas-Huie and husband, Robert and Crystal  Butler and husband, Guy; brother, Billy Tate and wife, Dolly; grandchildren, Lauren Rambo and husband, Tye, Jake Logue and wife, Britney, Clint Logue, Daniel Logue and wife, Brittany, Dakota Logue and Julia Parras, Haviland Logue, Brandon Jones and wife, Sarah, Jack Jones and wife, Jess, Cheyenne Yonker and husband, Justin, Charli Butler, Logan Butler, and Caitlin Butler, Sam Logue and wife, Brittney; great grandchildren, Audrey Rambo, Luke Rambo, Annie Rambo, Elijah Logue, Rosie Logue, Callahan Logue, Rhett Logue, Payton Logue, Skylar Parras, Baby boy Parras, Brett Jones, Elaine (Girl) Jones, Ava Jones, Perry Jones, and Baby Yonker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, G.C. and Juanita Tate and a son-in-law, Perry Preas.
