Dale Arrington Obituary

UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION:  The Arrington family will receive family and friends at a visitation on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Commerce Funeral Home.

William Dale Arrington, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many died unexpectantly at his home on January 28, 2023.  The family will host a visitation to celebrate Dale's life at some time in the near future. PLEASE NOTE: This is a change from the original arrangements, due to illness.

Dale was born on September 20, 1951, to Audrey Garner Arrington and Milford Arrington.  He was 71 years old.

Those who knew him will remember Dale for his witty sense of humor, his kindness to those he loved, his passion for protecting his family, his love of guns, and his love of hunting and fishing.

Dale was a good friend to many.  His friends knew that the party was about to get good when Dale arrived.  He could entertain people for hours with stories and often told jokes about his loving wife, at her dismay.

In his young adult life Dale worked in the concrete business for many years before moving on to work at Texas A & M University in the maintenance department as a painter.  He eventually retired from there as he proudly professed to be a trophy husband.  Another wonderful sign of his humor.

If Dale loved you, he loved you with all his heart and there was no denying that you were someone very special to him.  He loved big.

Dale is survived by his loving wife, Carol Arrington of Commerce, sons, Gary Arrington of Commerce and Cory Arrington of Wolfe City, grandson, Colton Arrington of Canton, sister Linda Morgan of Sulphur Springs and nephew Jason Walton of Cumby, brother and sister in-laws, Sammy and Vicki Griffis of Celeste and Joe and Diane McNair of Cumby, and many other nephews and nieces.

The family asked that you continue praying for comfort and peace for them as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
