Eddie Jack Chapin, Jr.

Eddie Jack Chapin, Jr., 59, of Cumby, passed away at his home Monday, February 28, 2022. He was born on September 27, 1962, in Greenville, Texas, the son of Eddie Jack Chapin, Sr. and Charlotte Atkins Chapin. There will be a private burial at a later date.

Eddie attended Commerce High School, graduating with the class of 1981. While in high school, he was active as a member of the tennis and football teams. Following high school, he attended Texas A&M University-Commerce. He was a very likeable person who easily made friends. On June 14, 1996, he married the love of his life, Laura Kleeschute.

Left to cherish Eddie’s memory are his son, Evan Clay Chapin and his sister, Carin Chapin, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Charlotte Chapin; his wife, Laura Kleeschute Chapin; an infant daughter, Hannah Marie Chapin; and a sister, Amy Elizabeth Chapin Doster.
