Joshua Dale Spurlock

Joshua Dale Spurlock, 39, of Commerce, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, June 11, 2022, in Denison, Texas. He was born on December 19, 1982, in Greenville, Texas, the son of Jimmy Dale Spurlock and Cathy Ann (Lowe) Spurlock.

Joshua attended Commerce High School, graduating with the class of 2000.  He worked as a truck driver for several years. Joshua had a real love of motorcycles, enjoying many hours of riding time. He also loved to fish. One of his favorite spots was Cooper Lake. Many “tall tales” came from his time spent there. He was diehard Dallas Cowboys fan from an early age. He loved watching Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith do their magic on the field. But his favorite past time was spending time with his children, Dan and Klohe, and the rest of his family.

Left to cherish Joshua’s memory are his children, Dan Spurlock and Khloe Dennie; his mother, Cathy Spurlock, his brother, Benjamin Spurlock and wife, Rachel; his nephew, James Spurlock.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Dale and his maternal grandmother, Corena Lowe.
