Obituary
Katherine Ann (Kay) Davis, 79, of Commerce, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2022, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She was born on August 7, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Evan Paul Roberts and Rosa Wermuth Roberts.
Kay’s family moved to Commerce in 1958, when her father took a position in the biology department at ETSU. She attended Commerce High School, graduating with the class of 1961. She then attended ETSU for a short while. Kay was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She provided leadership for the children’s division of the church for many years. Children would run up to her and hug her around her legs, which brought her great joy! She impacted many children over the years. Kay was also active with the Presbyterian Women’s Group.
Left to cherish Kay’s memory are her husband, Ron; her daughter, Rosalind Pennington and husband, John; grandchildren, Joe Saylor and wife, Joanna, and Divya Pennington; great-grandchild, James Saylor; sister, Carol Daniels; brother, Louis Roberts and partner, Alex, and Ron Roberts and wife, Prue.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Evan and Rosa Roberts.
