Nona Kaye Adams, 83, passed away in Methodist Hospital in Dallas on January 16, 2023. She was born on September 6, 1939, in Bell, California. She resided in Commerce, Texas most of her life where she graduated from Commerce High School in 1957, then attended East Texas State University.
Kaye married the love of her life, John Miller Adams, on June 16, 1956, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Commerce. She was a loving wife and mother to Lori Kaye and Cheryl Elizabeth. She often transported Lori and the cheerleaders to many football games and chaperoned and attended many of Cheryl’s band events. She loved to travel with her husband and family. She and John traveled to all fifty states in their motorhome.
Kaye loved the mountains, especially near Creede, Colorado, where many vacations were shared with family and good friends. She enjoyed rides in offroad vehicles to old mine sites and to see fantastic scenery. She enjoyed quilt shows and quilting retreats with friends.
