Kerry Wayne Rumbaugh, 48, of Commerce, passed away in Greenville, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. He was born on July 8, 1973, in Lubbock, Texas, the son of Kenneth Wayne Rumbaugh and Renea Shook.
Kerry attended Commerce High School, graduating with the class of 1992. For the past fourteen years, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Texas Department of Transportation. On May 16, 2010, he married Melinda Kelley in Fairlie, Texas. He and his family were members of the Cross Trails Cowboy Church. When Kerry wasn’t working, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. But his greatest joy came from playing with his ten grandchildren!
Kerry is survived by his loving wife, Melinda; his son, Hunter Rumbaugh and wife, Misty, his son Dylan Rumbaugh, and wife, Jelsi, his daughter Clara Rumbaugh, daughter Sara Rumbaugh and husband, Devin, stepson, Matthew Frazier and wife. Sara, stepdaughter, Ashley McCaslin and husband, Micah, mother, and stepfather, Renea and Jeff Shook, father and stepmother, Kenny and Pat Rumbaugh, his sister, Kristie Nicholson and husband, Shawn, sister, Kasondra Quattlebaum and husband, Colton, brother-in-law, Donald Kelley, brother-in-law, Patrick Kelley and wife, Neely and mother-in-law, Jill Cooper, as well as a host of nieces and nephews and ten grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers for Kerry are Hunter Rumbaugh, Shawn Nicholson, Matthew Frazier, Wade Nicholson, Micah McCaslin, and Dylan Rumbaugh.
