Linda Mann Obituary

Linda Sue Mann, 78, of Ladonia, died Saturday, May 2, 2020 in Plano, Texas.  She was born on January 28, 1942, the daughter of Emzy T. Singleton and Mildred Edith Todd Singleton.

Linda was born in Wichita Falls, Texas.  She attended high school in Ladonia as a member of the class of 1960.  At a young age, she was baptized at First Baptist Church in Ladonia.  On October 14, 1995, Linda married the love of her life, Michael Mann.  They built their lives together over the next 24 years. They were members of the First Baptist Church in Ladonia for many years before moving their membership to Honey Grove.  Linda was known as a lover of animals.  She especially enjoyed the cows and cats that they raised on their property.  Legend has it that Linda only had to rattle the bag of Vanilla Wafers for the calves to come running.  She would then proceed to feed them the sweet treats from the backdoor! She also enjoyed collecting bells, gathering quite a number over the years.  Above all, though, Linda was known as one who possessed a servant’s heart.  If there was ever a need or place to be of service to someone at the church or in the community, Linda was always there.  She will be missed by the people and entities in which she served.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Michael; her children, Bart Collard, Steve Duncan (Lisa), Stephenia Erwin (Lyndol), Darla Mann and Lori Chick; grandchildren, Zach, Cierra, Amanda, Ranger, Mason, Zabrina, Jacqulin, Christopher, Dillon and Cash; and four great grandchildren.

Preceding Linda in death were her parents, Emzy and Mildred Singleton, as son, Clint Collard and her brother, Charles Singleton.

The family wishes that memorials be made, to honor Linda’s memory, to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.  The web address to give is www.fundraise.nbcf.org, or the physical address is 2600 Network Blvd. Frisco, Texas 75034.
