Mark D Riley

Mark Douglas Riley, 57, of Commerce, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 11, 2019.  He was born on September 16, 1962 in Pampa, Texas, the son of Eddie Carol Riley and Sharon Phipps Riley. A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Commerce Funeral Home.

Mark attended Wellington High School.  He earned his GED in 1981.  He then completed the coursework at Texas State Technical Institute, earning his Associates degree in diesel mechanics.  Most recently, he worked as an over the road truck driver.  Mark married Sharon Ballard in Greenville, Texas on June 4, 1999.  Sometimes he would be away from home for a month at a time.  When he was home, he cherished the time spent with his family. 

Mark is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Casey Riley, Danny McDaniel and wife, Debra, Brittley Martin and wife, Crystal; grandchildren, Lane McDaniel and Corbin McDaniel; sister, Kimberlie Austin and husband, Brian; Wendy Jackson and husband, Chris; nephews, Zachary Austin and wife, Myra, Taylor Jackson and Blake Jackson; niece, Lauren Austin; mother, Sharon Venable.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Riley and mom, Audean Riley.
