Robert McIntosh Obituary

Robert Lyle McIntosh, 78, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. He was born on March 20, 1942 in Tyler, Texas, the son of Robert Burr McIntosh and Alice Lucille Mings Taylor.

Robert attended high school at WW Samuel High School in Pleasant Grove, Texas, graduating in 1960. Immediately following high school, Robert entered the United States Army as a percussionist in the Army band. Following three years of service, he was honorably discharged in 1963.

Robert is survived by his children, Daughter-Kimberly McCarty and husband Tommy, and Son-Shane McIntosh; grandchildren, Zeke McCarty and wife Mary, Ashley Rex, Jake McCarty, Chloe McIntosh, Molly McIntosh and Michael McIntosh; great grandchildren, Jayden Rex, Alex Rex and Raeghan McCarty; brothers, Shane McIntosh and Tim McIntosh and a sister, Linda Green.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert McIntosh and Lucille Taylor and stepdad Ben Taylor, and a sister Mary Alice Norris.
