Ronald Ray McCrummen, 76, of Commerce, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on December 25, 2022. He was born on June 29, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Wilbert Leroy McCrummen and Frances Lucile Kraatz McCrummen. The family will receive friends at a visitation to take place at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Commerce Funeral Home. A funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Reverend Bobby Sparks officiating. Burial will take place at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.
Ronald attended Valencia High School in California, graduating with the class of 1964. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving in the Armored Division as a Tank Unit Commander and Officer. Ronald was honorably discharged in 1972. Following his time in the Army, he attended Mt. San Antonio College, earning an associates degree in 1973. Ronald married the love of his life, Beverly (Bobbi) Martin, on February 9, 1967, in Orange, California. They enjoyed 55 years together.
Ronald enjoyed many varied hobbies in his down time. Interestingly, they all involve spending time outdoors. He enjoyed motorcycles and cars, as well as horses and boating. His first love was hunting and fishing. He always looked forward to the beginning of deer season. His home is adorned with many beautiful trophies that he has collected over the years.
Left to cherish Ronald’s memory are his wife, Bobbi; his daughter, Robyn Peltier, his son, Brian McCrummen and wife, Kelly; grandchildren, Cailee Holley and husband, Gary, Bernadette Peltier and husband, Julian Cuello, Johnblaise Peltier, Logan McCrummen and wife, Ashley, and Jake McCrummen; a great-grandson, Grayson McCrummen; and his mother, Frances McCrummen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert McCrummen.
Serving as pallbearers for Ronald are Gary Don Kraatz, Julian Cuello, Mike Kraatz, David Doan, Billy Ray Roesler, and Gary Holley.
