Stanley Turner

Stanley Dwayne Turner, 74, of Commerce, passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Briarcliff Health Center of Greenville.  Stanley was born on July 28, 1948 in Bossier City, Louisiana at Barksdale Air Force Base to Dorsey and Maudine Turner.  After graduating from Commerce High School, he went on to serve his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army.  Stanley married Sandra Kay Combs Daniel on December 28, 1988.

Stanley is survived by his wife Sandy; children: Jarrod Turner and wife Shelby, Brent Turner and wife Amanda, Blake Turner and wife Amber, daughter Shelley Abbott; stepson Chris Phipps, and stepson David Phipps and wife Leah.  Stanley is also survived by his twin brother Steven Turner and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Maggie, Jake, Grayson, Greenlee, Morgan, Lexie, Izabella, Miles, Brandon, Brandi Kay, Ty, Cheyenne, Cody, Tiffany, Amber, Ashley, Christyn; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Janice Dorcille Butler.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fairlie Home Place on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.
