Thomas James Reel

Thomas James Reel was called home to the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.  He was born on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 7:17 p.m. weighing 1 lb. 4.7 oz. and measuring 10.63 in. long at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano.  In his short 4 days, his sweet story touched all our lives.  We are blessed because of his birth by bringing us together through kindness shown through prayers, love, hope and heartfelt messages from around the world.  Glory to God for our tiny miracle that will forever be a part of our lives.

Thomas is survived by his parents, Quinton and Rebecca Reel of Commerce, TX, grandparents, Teddy and Ann Reel of Commerce, TX, Joanna Robbins of Columbia, SC, and Terry Parham of Conroe, TX; great grandparents, Bill and Dorothy Hopkins of Commerce, TX and JoAnn Parham of Florida; aunts and uncles, Wesley and Clarissa Reel of San Antonio, TX, Cody and Rachel Russell of Hurst, TX, Kyle Parham of McKinney, TX, Matt and Raechyl Parham and son, Luke, serving the Lord overseas, Ryan and Shaina Parham and son, Miles, of College Station, TX as well as many extended family members and friends.

We wish to express our gratitude to the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano NICU for their expertise and loving care of Thomas.  We appreciate the overwhelming outpouring of love and prayers for Quinton, Rebecca, and our family.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Commerce Funeral Home in Commerce, TX for family and friends. 

A celebration for Thomas will be Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Commerce, TX with interment at Rosemound Cemetery.  The parents have requested that attendants wear bright, cheerful colors as we celebrate eternal life.
