Toby James Reeves

Toby James Reeves, 38, of Klondike, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in Commerce.  He was born on December 9, 1982, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, the son of Davie Clifton Reeves and Mildred Carolyn Hamilton Reeves

Toby attended Miller Grove High School, graduating with the class of 2001.  He was self-employed for several years in farm equipment sales.  On January 24, 2004, he married Victoria Edwards at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in the Bonanza Community.  The family attended the Ignite Church in Cooper, Texas. Toby was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying time spent hunting, fishing and camping.  His family and he would tent camp in Broken Bow, which was their favorite place to go.  They enjoyed floating the river, which they did every summer. Toby collected several trophies from his hunting trips, including deer, bobcats and ducks. He enjoyed taking road trips with the family.  Once, he loaded up everyone on a whim and took a twelve hour road trip, going to west Texas, Oklahoma, then home again!  Toby enjoyed restoring tractors to their “like new” condition, then selling them. 

Toby is survived by his wife of 17 years, Victoria; his daughters, Kassidy, Mackenzie, Corie and Kason; his sisters, Heather Reeves and Kim Reeves; his brothers, Jason Graves and Keith Reeves and wife, Donna; his loving dog, Sister, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Davie Reeves, his mother, Carolyn Reeves, his nephew, Jordan Reeves and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Serving as pallbearers for Toby are Kelly Barrett, Blake Cooper, Jason Smith, Gary Fouse, John Garrett, Ramon Ramos, Braven Smith and Anthony Roberts.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Danny O”Neal, Jarred Jennings, Charles Regan, Brandon Gowin and Dynamite.
