Tommy Dean Parker

Tommy Dean Parker was born in Bay City, TX on October 17, 1941 to Elise Josephine (Patsy) Leaser.   He passed from this life on Saturday, March 25, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.   Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Commerce Funeral Home and Cremation Service.  A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home.  Interment is scheduled for April 5, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX.

Tommy joined the Army in 1959 and served until 1967, during which time he achieved the rank of E6.  He went to college to study robotics and went to work for Motorola as a robotic technician.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He enjoyed oil painting, golfing, bowling, hunting, and making furniture.  He was also known as Mr. Fix It!  He could fix anything!  He was a kind and generous man and would give the shirt off of his back if it would help someone.  He had a strong faith in God.

He is survived by his wife, Louella Parker; daughter Amber Parker and wife, Karen Parker; stepson Steven Landrith, and wife Patricia Fulton; grandchildren Tessa Landrith and husband Dusty Eang, Tara Alexander and husband Bobby Alexander, Chrissy Yates, Steven Yates and wife Katherine Yates; great-grandchildren Rayan Eang, Rowen Yates and Asher Alexander.
