James Bradley (Brad) Rollins was born April 19, 1959, in Sulphur Springs, and passed away Jan. 26, 2017, at age 57, in Dallas, after a courageous fight against cancer.
He was the son of James Rollins and Yvonne Stewart Rollins. His grandparents were Bert and Inez Mobley Rollins and Raymon and Lucille Vaughn Stewart. Brad lived in Ridgeway, until he became ill and then resided in Dallas with his son, Josh and family.   Brad is survived by his mother, Yvonne Stewart Rollins of Cumby; two children, Marsha Renee’ Donathan and husband Michael of Saginaw, and James Joshua Rollins and wife Angela of Dallas; one grandchild, James Ethan Rollins; aunts, Gladys Rollins Johnson of Velma, Okla., Jane Rollins, Mary Rollins Latham and husband Thomas and Judy Rollins, all of Sunnyvale; one uncle, Neal Stewart and wife Odeana of Commerce; several cousins and many dear friends.   He was preceded in death by his father, James Rollins, grandparents and aunt, Opal Rollins Hester.  Brad was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School and attended Eastfield College. He never met a stranger. His quick wit, grin and wonderful sense of humor endeared him to everyone and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be Friday, January 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Commerce Funeral Home in Commerce.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cumby. The service will be officiated by Rev. Paul Pogue.  Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery in Ridgeway.
