Bill and family, 'Do' was my boss at Mallinckrodt at the Angleton TX facility until 1987. I learned so much from her and enjoyed the times outside of work that we spent with Bill and Do cooking and sharing our families. For some reason I was thinking of her this evening and googled her and found that she had passed. My sincere condolences to your family. Wayne & Elizabeth Woodard

Wayne & Elizabeth
Thank you for your uplifting, kind words about Do. She loved her work and the people she worked with; especially. Elizabeth and Susan. We enjoyed our times together and Do was disappointed having to leave you all. She continued to work at Keystone Valve in Houston until 94. She had to endure another situation much like her experience in Angleton. But we were able to spend a year at Waco at The Methodist Home for children as house parents. We were able to retire in 95. We sold our house at Country Place and moved in with son Jim in Greenville, Ms. for several months before moving to a nice retirement cottage on a lake near Cuba, Mo. You, knowing Do's work ethic, would not be surprised that Do was able to spend 10 more years in accounting at Wallis Oil Co. in Cuba. We were very happy there until our son Jim and his wife, Deb, invited us to come to Commerce, Texas where Jim was in Ag. Dept. at A & M branch. We moved there April 4, 2009. We built a house on their property and moved in that November. Do developed the early signs of Alzheimer soon after 09. But, we had some great times for a few years before she began stage 4 of that terrible disease. We had Hospice Plus and Deb is a nurse and we had a great support system and she was able to stay at home with me. And it was not too bad. She passed peacefully at home. She never did forget me, but she forgot most everything else. She was one special gal.
By the way, Sue Phaffle (sp?) had contacted us earlier and we were not able to visit her and her husband near Waco. If you have a chance to contact her ask her to contact me as I have her address somewhere, Perhaps you have her number? We will have a celebration of her life March 26 so have a special prayer for Do that day. We know your spirit will be with us. I am keeping busy and will be fine as I keep a busy schedule volunteering, golfing and helping to maintain our 30 acres. I will contact you soon. Love from here, Bill Heitholt

Dear Bill, Dr. Jim, Debbie's, Vincent and Kali,
Dorothy tackled her illness the same way she approached her career and her family. She gave it her all. He was a success. She has earned her rest and a joyful reunion with her son, Kent. We rejoice too, even as we wipe away the tears of sadness. We have wonderful memories including walking through the pines of their Texas property that she spent time and effort maintaining along with Bill, Jim and Debbie. Memories of Do and Bill, together, helping those less fortunate will last forever.
Thanks for being the unique special person you were, Do. Condolences abound for her devoted family. May God bless you and sustain you.
