Melanie, thank you for telling me as soon as you knew. I appreciate you knowing I was family, and you didn't let me hear it in the streets. That's love. That's the love Shelley and I, plus you, her babies, you, your babies, Ann and Carlos. Speedway, 2008 or 2009. Anyway, Shelley from day one, knew me, and I her, as we had known eachother for ever. I love that we told eachother, that we loved eachother, way back when we me. We experienced a lot of life together. She always knew she cpuld come to me if she could reach me. I knew if I could reach her, I could go to sleep, for day or years. Shelley, is watching ocer me, I'm good.

How many people, do you know, you can say almost half that about, and be confident that person will be there when you are conscious and can take care of yourself. My love, Shelley, gave everyone around her, what she was supposed to and much more.

Shelley, I know it's your time, of glory. I'm Challenging everyone that reads my guest post, to, not CHALLENGE ,the devil, me, Shelley, or God. Take the challenge yourself, aganist yourself, to be as half as, "PURE", as Shelley, my friend, I love eternally.

I could say so much about Shelley. She is one of my oldest life long friends. I practically lived with her during my teen years, listening to music we thought the whole hwy neded to hear, drinking coffee in the morning with Mom, chilling outside on a tailgate drinking & always looking for adventure, like we were invincible. I wish she had come to see me, one of her last trips thru Commerce, but im not mad. One day, all we'll have are the memories we've made ...& Shelley made sure you could never forget her! Thank u for the memories, I'll treasure them always.

I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to Shelley's family. There's such a sense of helplessness when someone we love dies. I'd like to share some scriptural thoughts that really helps me. Prayer is so valuable at this time but it's not that prayer simply makes us feel better. 2 Cor.4:7 says that God can give us, "... power beyond what is normal ", to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry or that we forget, but it means we recover. The reason we recover is because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28, "... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out ". Jesus was referring to the resurrection, this is our amazing hope! 2 Cor.1:3 describes our Creator as, "... the God of all comfort ". One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort (Ps.83:18) be your comfort now during this time of sorrow.
